Fox Sports 1 Analyst Doesn’t Want Us to ‘Lose That Fire’ of Faith
By Movieguide® Contributor
Fox Sports 1 co-host Chris Broussard recently discussed a parable that’s been on his mind lately.
“One thing, and I know you brothers have seen it, like what’s really been on my heart lately is the parable of the sower,” Broussard told Sports Spectrum. “You know, and how Jesus talks about kind of the four types of responses to the gospel.”
He explained that some people never hear it — “the devil takes it away right away” — while others excitedly accept it but “fade away” when challenges come.
“Some people become saved, but they get worldly, and then they’re, you know, they really don’t have a strong witness to the world,” he continued.

The scripture Broussard his referring to is Matthew 13:3-8:
A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.
Broussard wants to help believers keep their fire alive. In 2009, he founded K.I.N.G., a Christian men’s organization that aims “to empower men to reach our God-given potential in every realm of life through the power and grace of The Lord Jesus Christ.”
“We are a national Christian men’s movement. Our goal is to strengthen our walk with Christ with teaching, encouragement, support, accountability, and brotherhood,” Broussard explained. “We are gathering men together in Christ because men need male bonding and a lot of times it comes outside of Christ. That’s always our main focus.”
