GAF Promises ‘Unforgettable Day’ of Good Friday Programming

Great American Family has just released their Good Friday lineup, from THE PASSION PLAY to original movies.
“Great American Family, the home of quality, original faith-affirming, and family programming, is proud to present an unforgettable day of programming honoring the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Good Friday, March 29,” a press release reads.
The network’s president and CEO, Bill Abbott, added, “On Good Friday, we are proud to use our platforms to present top-tier family programming.”
GAF’s programming starts with THE PASSION PLAY 2024, “a musical retelling” of the last week in Jesus’ life. It airs at 3:45 p.m. ET.
Next up is THE HISTORY OF EASTER. Narrated by Christian artist Matthew West, the special educates viewers on all aspects of Easter, “from how Easter is calendared each year to how colorful eggs and bunnies became part of a global celebration of Spring.” It airs at 5 p.m. ET.
After these specials, two Candace Cameron Bure projects will have an encore presentation—JUST IN TIME, a “Candace Cameron Bure Presents” movie starring Laura Osnes, and A CHRISTMAS…PRESENT, starring Bure. The movies air at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET, respectively.
The Teddy Bear Award®-winner spoke about JUST IN TIME, her latest collaboration with GAF, calling it a “stunningly aspirational Easter presentation.”
“With the Candace Cameron Bure presents banner, we strive to deliver to our audience deep, meaningful, faith-filled entertainment of the highest quality,” she added.

Candace Cameron Bure is getting ready for the release of JUST IN TIME, the fourth movie made for Great American Family under her “Candace Cameron Bure Presents” banner.
“In JUST IN TIME, Hannah (Laura Osnes) and her husband, Rowan (Greyston Holt) have focused all their time, energy, and attention into trying to have a baby,” a synopsis of the movie reads. “The pressure to complete their family starts weighing heavily on their relationship. The couple is left questioning if having a child is the right thing to do and if they are still right for one another.”
This is the fourth movie Bure’s Candy Rock Entertainment has made in partnership with Great American Family.
