Gary Sinise Releases More of Late Son Music: ‘Deeply Personal’

Gary Sinise is honoring his late son’s memory by distributing his album.
His son, Mac, who was a musician, passed away in January 2024 from a rare bone cancer.

Before his death, though, Mac composed an album of music called “Resurrection & Revival.” Sinise shared Part One earlier this year. Now, Part Two is almost ready to release.
“Very excited to have received the first copies of Resurrection & Revival: Part Two,” the actor and veterans advocate posted on Instagram. “This album is deeply personal to me as it is comprised of music written by my son, Mac. Per his wishes, all proceeds from the album will go to support the @GarySiniseFoundation. Preorder your copy today at the link in my bio.”
A video accompanying the post shows records of the album being created and packaged in a warehouse, with Sinise happily overlooking the project.

Sinise previously spoke about why he decided to release his son’s music.
Two months after his son, Mac, passed from cancer, Gary Sinise explained how his son’s five-year battle with the disease has inspired him and why he’s releasing Mac’s music.
“He was a pure soul. He had a pure heart. He was a gentle, loving, kind, funny, talented guy,” Sinise told ET about his 33-year-old son. “He loved his family. He loved his sisters. They were so close. He loved his mom. She was constantly with him throughout this cancer fight.”

In addition to launching his son’s album, Sinise continues his work to help veterans and heroes through the Gary Sinise Foundation.
“At the Gary Sinise Foundation, we serve our nation by honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need,” his website explains. “We do this by creating and supporting unique programs designed to entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen, and build communities.”
