TWISTERS Star Meets Doppelgänger at Golden Globes: ‘I Finally Have a Brother!’
By Movieguide® Contributor
Glen Powell met his lookalike, Maxwell Braunstein, at the Golden Globes this year.
The star joked Braunstein is “part of the family.”
“Powell, 36, ran into Braunstein on the red carpet ahead of the ceremony and burst out with excitement when he locked eyes with his doppelgänger, going in for the hug with his arms wide open,” PEOPLE reported.
Braunstein won the Glenn Powell lookalike contest on Nov. 24.
“Oh, look who’s here!” Powell said as he walked toward Braunstein.
The pair took a photo together before comparing similarities. They both donned a suit and shades.
“The sunglasses, too!” Braunstein said.
Powell brought his mom over to meet Braunstein, whom she actually already met at the lookalike contest last year.
“In addition to bragging rights of being named a movie star lookalike, the prize included $5, a cowboy hat and free queso from Torchy’s for a year,” PEOPLE reported.
“Good to see you again,” Braunstein told Powell’s mom.
“At the time, Powell, too, appeared on video to offer his doppelgänger the opportunity to gift one of their loved ones with a cameo in one of his upcoming projects,” PEOPLE reported.
“Blessed that your mother thinks I’m anything like ya,” Braunstein told Powell through the video call.

Later at the Globes, Etalk asked Powell if he had met his lookalike yet.
“I did,” the TOP GUN: MAVERICK star replied. “What a great guy, so fun. He’s part of the family now. I finally have a brother!”
Timothée Chalamet also saw his lookalike at the Golden Globes.
Miles Mitchell walked alongside Braunstein, holding up signs that read, “I won a lookalike contest and now I’m at the Golden Globes.”
They caught the attention of MOANA actress Auli’i Cravalho, who told them, “You guys slayed that!”
Mitchell first met Chalamet at the NY Timothée Chalamet lookalike contest.
“I think he’s cool. We have some things in common a little bit,” Mitchell said of the actor.
