Going Through a Tough Season? Candace Cameron Bure Says Beauty’s Around the Corner

By Movieguide® Contributor

Candace Cameron Bure knows what it’s like to go through tough transitions, but she also knows that those times often lead to beautiful, new seasons. Such was the case when, fresh off FULL HOUSE, she met her husband, Val.

“I think one of the most significant transitions for me that felt like a breakup was when FULL HOUSE ended, truly, because they were a second family to me and still are very much today,” she told her daughter Natasha Bure and influencer Allie Schnacky on an episode of “The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast.”

The actress had spent eight years on the show, and those relationships are still some of the most important in her life.

Bure continued, “I’m still friendly and friends with everyone, so that part’s great. But that was that was a strange breakup — to have eight years of your most formidable years of your life then just come to an end.”

Although the closing of that season was hard, shortly after, she met her husband Val. She then realized the beauty of life’s transitions.

“We met 18 and then we were married at 20,” Bure explained. “It was a hard transition because…it’s like, so much love that you have that just suddenly comes to an end. But that transition was eased in the sense that I had met Val, and we had started dating, and I knew at that moment this was just a new season of life.”

She and Val celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary last year.

“28 years 🥂 today! How it started… and how it’s going❤️💒,” Bure posted on June 22, 2024, along with photos of her an Val as a young couple and of them today with their kids.

As seasons continued to change, Bure credits her experience on FULL HOUSE for leading her back to her acting career after taking a break to raise her kids.

“I’ve loved the industry, and I credit you, Bob, John and Jeff Franklin, and hundreds of other people who were our FULL HOUSE family,” she told the “Full House Rewind” podcast host and former co-star Dave Coulier. “You guys gave us the best experience. I know there’s tons of horror stories out there, and I am so empathetic and feel for everyone that has had a bad experience. However, I am so grateful and blessed that those aren’t our stories. It made me want to stay in the business.”
