In a life full of home renovations and filming, HGTV stars Ben and Erin Napier still find time to prioritize their marriage.
Ben Napier shared that he makes a point to write Erin little love notes every day, a gesture that means a lot to her.
“They don’t say profound things,” Erin told US Weekly in an interview. “They say things like ‘I’m just so thankful that it’s you and me, that this is what our life is, thank you for being mine, and I’ll always so my best for you.’ Every day, a couple sentences, and I just love them all.”
The couple also noted the importance of dating each other.
“We’re kind of getting to date each other all the time,” Ben explained.
Erin Napier added, “Date nights are planned six months in advance. They happen once or twice a year.”
While planning the big dates is a priority, the couple also finds time to have smaller dates and to connect.
Erin said, “Lunch dates are the key. It doesn’t have to be dressing up and going out at night to a crowded restaurant. It can be just, ‘I’m going to pick you up on my lunch break, and we’ll run and get a hot dog at Costco.'”
Erin Napier shared a little more about their marriage and the interview with US Weekly on Instagram.
“We get a lot of questions about our marriage because we work together. How we get along, find family time, keep the romance alive and all that…,” she wrote. “I think the best way to find happiness in your marriage is to serve one another.”
“Never stop talking. Pray together. Show each other so much grace. Be on the same team,” she continued. “We only have 20 years of practice, and we are not experts, but it’s worked for us every time. Thank you so much, @usweekly for letting us talk about our favorite subject. ❤️ In stores everywhere this week!”

Lately, the Ben and Erin Napier have been working together in Sebring, Florida, on their HGTV show HOME TOWN TAKEOVER. Ben posted photos from the show on his Instagram account. “Sebring on 35mm. I snapped these photos the morning of Mrs. Chauncey’s reveal outside of her house. Everyone was excited to see her reaction,” he said.
