HGTV’s Jenny And Dave Marrs Celebrate Opening of Welcome Inn
By Movieguide® Contributor
FIXER TO FABULOUS star Jenny Marrs just announced she and husband Dave are ready to open their new project.
“Today’s the day! It’s finally time to open the doors of @thewelcomeinn_rogers and welcome our first official guests,” she captioned a photo of the pair standing in the open doorway.
“Our prayer for this place is that it serves as a pause on the frantic pace of life and allows our guests to exhale deeply within these walls. Our hope for each and every stay here is that it be abundantly refreshing and joyful,” she continued. “We hope to see you at the Inn, friends!”
The Marrs’ started working on the Welcome Inn earlier this year, restoring the 1870s Arkansas house while cameras documented everything for FIXER TO FABULOUS: WELCOME INN.
“What a ride this has been!” Jenny captioned a photo of Dave and one of their sons. “We are grateful for the way our community has jumped in to give us wisdom and guidance on this journey.”
Movieguide® previously reported on one of the Marrs’ projects:
Jenny Marrs of FIXER TO FABULOUS recently shared that she and her husband, Dave, partnered with a nonprofit organization called Saving Grace NWA to help young women find homes within their community.
“Saving Grace serves young women ages 18-25 who have aged out of foster care or are facing homelessness. We provide safe housing in a dorm-style setting and offer each young woman educational assistance, career guidance, coaching, counseling, and more,” the organization’s website reads.
The Marrs family recently renovated an inn, which includes a chicken coop, and the young ladies at Saving Grace will help care for the property.
“I can’t get over this watercolor of our adorable chicken coop. Thank you, @westoakwatercolor for painting it!” Jenny captioned a painting of a chicken coop on her Instagram.
“We’ve received a lot of questions about who will take care of the chickens at the ‘Inn’ and I LOVE answering this one! We’ve partnered with a local nonprofit doing amazing work with young women in our community who have aged out of foster care or are facing homelessness,” she wrote. “Together with @savinggracenwa, we’ve developed a hospitality training program for these young women that involves working at the Welcome Inn and caring for the home, the gardens, the guests and, of course, the chickens.”
She added: “We are absolutely passionate about this work and are honored to know that this special house is going to be a welcoming place for visitors and for these incredible young women who are seeking to change the trajectory of their lives.”
