How Embracing Our Identity in Christ Will Transform Culture
By Movieguide® Contributor
Kirk Cameron explained how stepping into our role as image bearers of God will strike the enemy with fear and force the darkness to flee.
“You and I were made in the image of our Father, but we’ve gotten lost. [We’ve] somehow forgotten who we are in a culture that wants us to believe that we are a relic minority with an antiquated morality and a make-believe spirituality,” Cameron said. “You and I need to look into the mirror and get a clear picture of what we’ve become — something other than what we were born for.”
“We were made in our Father’s image. Hear your Father’s voice speak to you, remember how you are: A child of God, an ambassador from Heaven. ‘Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world,’” Cameron continued. “The hijacking of culture by the elite dark forces that hate our Father, that hate righteousness and goodness, that are destroyers of liberty and the purveyors of evil will be shaking in their boots when they see you and your children and your grandchildren rushing toward them to restore goodness and liberty and truth.”
“You know what they’ll think that they see? The image of God in you. That’s what they should be terrified of. The fear of the Lord should come over them when they see you who love your enemies and are makers of peace and you’re involved in your culture and you’re educating your children and who stand for righteousness,” Cameron added.
“That’s what people should see and how they should feel when they see you and I rushing in to take leadership positions in our children’s moral training and their education and helping them become leaders in the world for the flourishing of all humanity,” he concluded.
This powerful encouragement from Cameron comes as he continues to encourage parents to make a stand in their faith and push their kids toward goodness to bring our country back from the brink of moral destruction.
He has brought back his American Campfire Revival series for a limited time to encourage Christians ahead of this year’s Presidential election. The messages he is emphasizing revolve around standing strong in your faith, why America needs Christian values and how the country is set up for a spiritual revival that only God could achieve.

Kirk Cameron is encouraging us to put our faith in God in a new podcast episode.
“Faith is mysterious for some people,” he explained in an episode of “American Campfire Revival.” “But the same person who says, ‘I just have trouble having faith in God,’ is often the same person who has no problem getting onto an airplane.”
Cameron continued, “Even though you’ve never met the pilot, likely you’ve not even seen the pilot, and yet [you’re] entrusting your life to a pilot you’ve likely never seen. You’ve got faith in that pilot — so much so that you’re willing to put your life in their hands. And past experience has shown you that you can get on that airplane, and you’re confident that you’re going to land at your destination.”
“Faith in God is similar in that way. I have reason to trust in the faithfulness of God because He’s proven Himself to be faithful to me,” he concluded.
