How Well Do Brandon Lake and Phil Wickham Know Each Other?

Friends and tourmates Brandon Lake and Phil Wickham showed how well they know each other in a new video.
The pair recently stopped by 99.1 JOY FM to play the “Best Friends Game.”
Lake and Wickham shared their knowledge of each other, from after-show snacks — Lake said Wickham likes “something with grilled chicken, something in a salad,” while Wickham replied that his tourmate likes breakfast cereal — to how many pairs of boots Lake owns.
“Gosh, Brandon’s crazy with boots,” Wickham said. “Eight?”
Lake responded, “At least!”
The pair also answered a sweet question about what the other is “too humble to say about himself.”
“Brandon is a really, really special guy,” Wickham said. “When you get to know Brandon [and] his heart for people…he has such a way to encourage people and lift people up.”
He added that Lake has a “pastoral heart…point[ing] people to Jesus not just on the stage, but backstage. He doesn’t turn a ministry switch on when he goes onstage.”
Lake was equally full of praise for his friend, saying, “I think Phil is the best artist, songwriter, leader on and off of a platform that I’ve ever seen…[he] has this balance of never losing who God’s called him to be but also being a Christian artist and having a career in the industry.”
“I’ve modeled a lot of my life and career decisions off of the way that Phil does it because he does it in a sustainable way,” Lake continued. “He always puts his family first.”
Lake and Wickham recently celebrated the release of their new concert documentary, FOR THE ONE.
“Never in my life did I think I would be a part of telling a piece of my story in theaters. I hope the stories encountered through this movie show everyone watching how much they are loved by the ONE. I can’t wait to share this with the world and I hope people are encouraged by it,” Wickham said in a press release.
Lake added, “My hope for this project is that it would not only show what it takes to go on tour, but why the music and touring mean so much to us. Countless lives have been changed, especially ours. Though we’ve had the opportunity to influence many, our focus remains FOR THE ONE.”
The pair recently spoke to Movieguide® about FOR THE ONE.

“I hope people in the church see it and get really encouraged by God on the move throughout the country, in the world, and in people’s lives. We’re all in it together, one big church, just taking ground for Jesus,” he said. “We hope that people get saved through this documentary or recommit their lives to Jesus.”
Both Wickham and Lake have been sharing their excitement for FOR THE ONE on social media.
