Hulk Hogan Encourages ‘Surrender’ to God: ‘He’ll Clean You Up’

Former WWE star Hulk Hogan is sharing his testimony and encouraging others to “come to Him.”
“I was always a believer, but I didn’t completely surrender,” Hogan explained in a TBN video. “I thought I could drive better than He could. I thought I could make the decisions better than He could.”
However, he explained he “got tired of crashing and burning” and decided to turn his life over to God.
“He was with me through all [of the bad] stuff, and I know that now because He turned setbacks into set-ups for greatness for me,” Hogan said. “Once I decided to quit driving the car myself and surrender, He took those mistakes I made — I learned from them. He taught me how to get up…and be honest and truthful and move forward.”
Hogan also encouraged others who might be worried they aren’t “good enough” to pursue a relationship with God.
“You don’t need to be cleaned up,” he said. “Come to Him. He’ll clean you up.”
Hogan concluded, “What’s going to be important to me moving forward is being the vessel to spread this message, because it’s the only truth there is. Everything else is just temporary. The fame, the ego, the physical look — everything is temporary.”
Hogan has previously spoken about the important role faith plays in his life, telling THE 700 CLUB that he is “all in” with God.
“[Believing in Jesus] just seems like such an easy choice for everyone, if you’ll just surrender and accept him as your Savior,” he said.
Hogan was baptized last year. He posted photos from the day on social media, writing, “Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life. No worries, no hate, no judgment… only love!”
Movieguide® previously reported on Hogan’s testimony:
Former professional wrestler Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, recently opened up about how his faith impacts his life.
Hogan recognizes that any impact he has on others is simply by God’s work in him.
“That God presence in us, you know, that still small voice. What Terry brings to the table is a meat suit…a meat suit filled with the Spirit of Christ, and it’s a testing ground for me,” he explained.
Since going public about his commitment to Christ, Hogan is using his social media to discuss his faith.
“Had an opportunity to sit with these 2 amazing Brothers of mine to talk about the John 3:16 Devotional Team and the @boxesofhopefc,” a post from Mel Chancey that included Hogan read. “Jake Rask on the left and Terry Bollea (Hulk Hogan) on the right. I am super grateful 4 these two Men and their passion to help feed the Children at Boxes of Hope.”
The post included John 21:16 which says, “Again Jesus said, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me?’ He answered, ‘Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.’ Jesus said, ‘Take care of my sheep.’”
“We are Blessed to do just that!! Happy and Blessed Monday my friends. The Blessings we receive we share with others,” the post concluded.
