INSIDE OUT Gets Spin-Off Series at Disney+

A new INSIDE OUT spin-off is in the works for Disney +.
The upcoming animated series titled DREAM PRODUCTIONS will be about the “production” studio that exists within the main INSIDE OUT character Riley. The purpose of this “studio” is to create Riley’s dreams each night.
MSN reported, “DREAM PRODUCTIONS represents new territory for Pixar as an animation studio, as they haven’t produced an animated series before…DREAM PRODUCTIONS isn’t scheduled to [be] the first Disney+ show from Pixar, as the studio announced an original anthology series, WIN OR LOSE, at D23 in 2022. WIN OR LOSE is scheduled to release by the end of 2024, but DREAM PRODUCTIONS does not currently have a release date.”
Movieguide® praised INSIDE OUT’s “very strong moral worldview [that] includes some solid redemptive content and extols sacrifice, joy and family.”

Because of its themes, INSIDE OUT is a bit intellectual, so younger children may have a hard time understanding everything. However, it does a brilliant job with character dialogue and has a strong plotline. Also, the animation is excellent. INSIDE OUT has a strong moral worldview, with a beautiful emphasis on Joy. There’s also a strong redemptive message where sacrifice saves the day. That said, the movie’s unclear about whether our emotions control our thoughts or vice versa. Otherwise, however, INSIDE OUT is a delightful family movie.
INSIDE OUT 2 is set to release June 14.

INSIDE OUT 2 is getting ready to hit theaters next June, and fans can expect to see some new faces — and hear some new voice actors.
“Disney and Pixar’s INSIDE OUT 2 returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions!” a press release about the movie states. “Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust — who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts — aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone.”
Kensington Tallman, who plays Riley, took to Instagram to share her excitement for the release.
“Thank you for all the JOY surrounding #insideout2! I can’t believe this is even real, as I have been the BIGGEST PIXAR FAN for as long as I can remember!” she wrote. “This film is deeply personal to me as Riley has been there for me in so many pivotal moments in my life, including when I began to experience intense anxiety a few years ago. Working on this film has given me so much courage to celebrate ALL of me-inside and out! Pixar fans, I hope this beautiful film will inspire you just as much as it has for me!”
