Iowa Star Caitlin Clark Makes History: ‘My Dreams Came True’

Iowa women’s basketball star Caitlin Clark is the talk of the sports world.
Clark, who just recently broke the record for the most points scored by any female collegiate basketball player, is also on her way to scoring the most points in collegiate history for both men and women.
She also just surpassed Lynette Woodard for the most 3-pointers made in a single season.
On Thursday, Clark declared for the 2024 WNBA draft.
“While this season is far from over and we have a lot more goals to achieve, it will be my last one at Iowa. I am excited to be entering the 2024 WNBA Draft,” she posted on Instagram.
“It is impossible to fully express my gratitude to everyone who has supported me during my time at lowa – my teammates, who made the last four years the best; my coaches, trainers, and staff who always let me be me; Hawkeye fans who filled Carver every night; and everyone who came out to support us across the country, especially the young kids,” she continued to write.
“Most importantly, none of this would have been possible without my family and friends who have been by my side through it all. Because of all of you, my dreams came true,” Clark concluded.
Clark is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft.
On top of her exceptional basketball skills, she constantly takes time with her fans and young girls who look up to her.
In fact, one fan’s 10th birthday wish list included tickets to an Iowa women’s basketball game, pink Hawkeye gear and to “score a selfie with Caitlin Clark.”
Of course, Clark delivered on this little girl’s birthday wish and made her dreams come true.
