Jalen Hurts Praises God After Super Bowl LIX Win

The Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl LIX Champions.
The Eagles, led by quarterback Jalen Hurts who secured the Super Bowl MVP award, beat the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22.
Hurts completed 17 of 22 passes, threw for 221 yards, had two touchdowns and rushed for 72 yards.
But when it came time to talk to the media after the game, the quarterback could only do one thing: praise God.
“You know, God is good. He’s greater than all the highs and the lows, and I think, personally myself, I’ve just been able to use every experience and learn from it, the good, the bad, all others, using it as fuel to pursue my own greatness,” Hurts told Fox Sports after the Super Bowl LIX win. “I couldn’t do any of these things without the guys around me, you know, we got a special group this year, we were able to learn from the past, and get some nice new pieces and get over that hump.”
Before the big game, he revealed his favorite Bible verse, which is John 13:7: “Jesus replied, ‘You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”
Later on, when Hurts was asked about his NFL journey, it took him a second to collect his thoughts; it’s been an up-and-down rollercoaster for the athlete.

“It’s, um,” he said, “it’s been a very unprecedented journey. The journey, it’s always the beginning until it’s the end, and I think, it means a lot.”
“He played incredible,” Eagles wide out A.J. Brown said of Hurts. “He did amazing…He was poised the whole game, he was in control, he made checks, and he threw dimes. He just gave us opportunities, and when we were covered a little bit, he took off running — he used his legs.”
