Jamie Foxx Learning How to Walk Again Following Health Scare
By Movieguide® Contributor
Since his health scare on April 11, Jamie Foxx has had to undergo intense physiotherapy to learn how to walk again.
A source told RadarOnline.com, “Jamie is receiving treatment at one of the top physical rehabilitation centers in the country.”
“The clinic specializes in physical therapy programs to treat injuries or a physical condition that limits or prohibits the ability to walk or walk correctly,” the source added.
The source concluded, “They teach people how to walk again at this particular clinic. Jamie would not be at this clinic if he was not impaired in some way as a result of whatever happened to him. But fans should rest assured: Jamie is in the best of care at this type of clinic.”
Although the diagnosis of Foxx’s health crisis remains unknown, the clinic specializes in stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injuries.
Movieguide® recently reported on Foxx’s health status:
Foxx’s daughter Corinne recently shared that her father was hospitalized after experiencing a “medical complication.”
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery,” she shared in a statement posted to Instagram. “We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers.”
A source shared that Foxx is “okay, thank God” and that he is “awake and alert.”
Many of Foxx’s fellow actors have shared their own well-wishes for the actor, including Lawrence.
“I hear he’s doing better,” the comedian said of Foxx’s situation. “My prayers go out for him every night and just wishing the best for him, one of the best that we got in Hollywood. Not only one of the best entertainers, but a good person.”
Lawrence’s statement was made while receiving his Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
“I feel so blessed and I thank God for this honor and just recognition and my fans and it’s something that I always wanted,” he said during the ceremony. “I’m very grateful and thankful.”
