By Movieguide® Contributor
Jen Lilley believes in miracles. In fact, she’s experienced them personally.
The Great American Family actress took to Instagram to post an amazing testimony of an encounter she had with a fan at a Christmas Con meet-up.
“We went to Christmas Con, and I was in the line,” the fan explained in a video Lilley posted. “And I said to you that I was a new Christian, so we said a prayer. And then I said I have neuroendocrine cancer, stage four…I don’t know, something told me to tell you that.”
Lilley chimed in to explain the rest of the story.
“I said, ‘Hold on, I am going to go get my anointing oil and pray for you because that is biblical, actually.”
“You said a whole prayer,” the fan said. “I felt hot, then I was like, tingly, and then I don’t know. It was so strange. And I left the line… four months later, I had to take my scans. I was told this was incurable. It’s treatable, but it’s incurable. It will never shrink. Whatever I have, I have and that’s it. This is from a world-renowned cancer specialist.”
Despite the grim outlook, the fan told everyone that she knew she was going to be okay.
“I believe this,” she said. “’Jen Lilley said a prayer for me. It’s going to be okay.’ I go for my scans, I had a whole CAT scan again, and she called me up two days later and she said it shrunk…She said, ‘I can’t even see it on the scan anymore.’”
“What?! Come on!” Lilley responded in amazement.
“I don’t know what to say. I love you, I thank you. Jesus is good, and it was the power or prayer,” the woman said.
“He’s so kind. And He still heals, and He loves you so much. And it’s an honor to be able to pray for you. I didn’t do a thing. All I did was let the Holy Spirit work through me,” Lilley said.
People in the comment section were amazed by this testimony.
“This gave me chills. God bless you both for the inspirational faith and surrender. so powerful,” one user said.
Others even shared their own miracle stories.
“Praising God, from Whom all blessings flow! I am a cancer survivor, 6 years cancer free!” another person said.
God is still in the miracle-working business. James 5:14-15 says “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.”
Lilley is vocal about her faith. In an Easter message, she shared, “I am so incredibly undone when I think of the kindness and mercy of God. The yielding and servant’s heart of Jesus. And the power and grace and mighty counsel of the Holy Spirit.”
She finds her peace and purpose in God.
“The Lord made us on purpose, and for purpose, for this exact moment in time,” she said. “And we are co laborers with the Holy Spirit. We are here for a reason. We are not meant to feel small, because we have God. And we are called to boldness, and we are called to love hard, and to do what we can and not be paralyzed by fear.”

Great American Family actress Jen Lilley is sharing the story of Palm Sunday, plus why the day holds personal significance to her.
“Easter means everything to me, because it’s my ‘Gotcha Day,’” she said in an Instagram video for Great American Pure Flix. “Now, a ‘Gotcha Day’ is something that people call the day you get to adopt your kids, and in my life, we adopted children out of foster care. And while it was the best thing I ever did, it was also the most difficult, and so the detail and the great lengths that God the father went through to adopt me as His child astounds me.”
Lilley often talks about the importance of fostering and adoption and what the experience has taught her.
“It’s really taught me about how, when Jesus says we’re ‘grafted in,’ how greatly he means that,” she told Christian Headlines. “We are grafted in, and we are heirs…with Jesus, with the Jewish people. So that’s what it’s taught me is that God loves us the same and that’s really humbling and astounding in every way.”
