Comedians and Emmy winners, Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Gaffigan hit the road…together.
The duo announced their upcoming tour this fall. They plan to stop in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and St. Louis.
“Jim and I met doing Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and have been talking about doing this for years,” Deadline reported of Seinfeld. “We finally made the schedules work out. Can’t wait.”
“I’m so excited to help out this unknown up and upcoming comedian who many may have never heard of,” Gaffigan said jokingly. “I know it will be an amazing bunch of shows.”
Seinfeld’s TV show THE SEINFELD’s ran for nine seasons and won multiple Emmy, Golden Globes, and People’s Choice Awards.
In addition, Seinfeld’s partner, Jim Gaffigan, was nominated for seven Grammy’s. He was a New York Times best-selling author and won three Emmy’s for top performer and multiplatinum recording artist.
The best thing about these two comedians is that they both are considered clean comedians.
Movieguide®’s review for JIM GAFFIGAN: QUALITY TIME reads:
Funnyman Jim Gaffigan is back at it with his latest comedy special, JIM GAFFIGAN: QUALITY TIME. Gaffigan is a relatively clean comedian, though families with teenagers and adults should use caution before viewing the special. There are a handful of light obscenities and four profanities used in just over an hour. Material ranges from jokes about weight and size to DATELINE to murder to horses … possibly too much about horses. Gaffigan, a devout Catholic, doesn’t mock his faith in the routine. Rather, he uses a basic understanding of biblical principles and stories to guide his jokes.
Gaffigan’s special has smooth videography and well-timed jokes. Though some of the bits last too long for comfort, that sometimes adds to the hilarity. His wife, Jeannie Gaffigan, directs. The audience interaction and response to jokes lends to the comedic value. Gaffigan walks the fine line between comedy and crass, and some viewers may be offended and feel his jokes go too far. Movieguide® recommends discernment and caution for adults and teenagers due to some inappropriate jokes, some potty humor and some dysfunctional family comments.
