Jesse Hutch Shares Behind-The-Scenes Fun on LITTLE WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS

By Movieguide® Contributor

Jesse Hutch and Laura Osnes recently shared a fun behind-the-scenes video as they start work on Great American Family’s A LITTLE WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS.

“I’m on my way to set for my Great American Christmas movie, A LITTLE WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS,” Hutch “says” in the video — Osnes is off-camera speaking as Hutch mouths along. “Happy holidays everybody!”

Hutch then turns the camera to show Osnes, saying, “That was live ADR coming at you from the shuttle on our way to set.”

“Producing with our company, Acting with friends, our new film A LITTLE WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS is officially filming,” he wrote in the video’s caption. “We have a rocking cast & crew.”

A LITTLE WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS is a retelling of the classic Louisa May Alcott novel. In addition to Hutch, who will play John Brooke, and Osnes, who will play Beth March, the cast includes Jillian Murray as Jo March, Trevor Donovan as Friedrich “Fritz” Baehr, Jen Lilley as Meg March and Julia Reilly as Amy March.

“A LITTLE WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS is a new Christmas classic in the making, with an incredible ensemble cast and an adaptation of an original story that is one of the best I have read,” Great American Media president and CEO Bill Abbott said of the project. “Louisa May Alcott was intentional about focusing on the culture of young women, their hopes, ambitions, and dreams, and it remains one of the most widely read and beloved stories ever written.”

The movie recently began filming in Franklin, Tennessee.

“My parents moved here about four years ago, so I came to visit during Christmas,” director Brandon Clark explained. “I was like, ‘Wow, this place can really embrace Christmas at a different level.’ It’s got it’s cute quaintness, but it’s like they brought Christmas to life, and so it just inspired me on a new vision for the script.”

Movieguide® previously reported on Hutch’s role in Kris Poloha’s MEMEC:

Jesse Hutch, Moriah Smallbone, Chris Parnell and more are teaming up for the Kristoffer Polaha-directed MEMEC.

“Able to start releasing some goodies regarding a new project,” Hutch wrote of the mysterious new project. “#MEMEC was filmed with a bunch of friends. My role is nutty and out there. A dark comedy with serious undertones, this character is a dude who believes he is the Bees knees. But he isn’t. Can’t wait for everyone to meet ‘Robert Van Sickle.’”

Hutch tagged Polaha, Smallbone and Parnell, along with co-stars Kevin Lawson, Cody Smith and Melody Ricketts, as well as producer Ken Carpenter.

Hutch posted more about his character in MEMEC on Instagram.

“Trust me when I say that you have never seen me play a character like this…EVER!!!” he wrote. “This dude is a trip. When I have permission to share more, I will. The cast is super cool and I was glad to have my name in the hat for this one. Thank you team. See ya out there.”
