JESUS REVOLUTION Trends on Netflix’s Top 10 List

Hit movie JESUS REVOLUTION landed on Netflix July 31 and is already trending on the streaming service’s top 10 movies list.
“After becoming a surprise hit in the early months of 2023, the faith-based movie JESUS REVOLUTION has become an immediate hit on Netflix, quickly rising up the Netflix Top 10 in the US,” Michael Balderston with What to Watch reported.
Pastor Greg Laurie shared a video on his Facebook and wrote,” @jesusrevolutionmovie is trending on @netflix. Let’s keep getting the word out!”
“Best movie I have ever seen or better said the re-telling of the Jesus Revolution. I was crying the whole way through it!! Thank you, Jesus, for saving me too!!” one fan commented on the post.
Another fan wrote, “I watched it twice on Amazon Prime and was really moved because I was a former hippy from a different generation who was desperately seeking God. I became disabled from the drugs and homeless but later was baptized in the Gulf of Mexico and rededicated my life to Christ.”
On July 11, JESUS REVOLUTION’s Instagram posted a photo of the movie’s Netflix release date.
The caption read, “Great news, JESUS REVOLUTION is coming to Netflix on July 31. Make plans to experience the revolution once again. Movie night! #JesusRevolutionMovie.”

JESUS REVOLUTION is a very entertaining and surprisingly accurate, although compressed, portrait of the Vietnam protest era of hippies and young revolutionaries who find Jesus because God calls several Christians to welcome them into the Body of Christ. At its heart, the plot is propelled by a love story between an impoverished young man, Greg Laurie, with an alcoholic mother, and a beautiful young woman named Cathe (pronounced “Kathy”) from a wealthy Laguna Hills family in Southern California. The movie is very bold about showing drug use, communal living and the protest rallies. Having lived through this period, the movie brings back many memories, including that of being saved by Grace alone.
JESUS REVOLUTION generated over $15 million at the box office during its opening weekend.

JESUS REVOLUTION will hit the worldwide box office over the next month, releasing in Singapore, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand.
The movie’s success as Lionsgate’s highest-grossing domestic release in three years shows that Christians will support entertainment that promotes and honors faith and family values.
