Great American Family star Jill Wanger praised her fans for their incredible support for those impacted by Hurricane Helene, showcasing all the supplies they have been able to donate to the victims.

“Look what you guys are doing!!!” Wagner posted on Instagram, showing the mountains of supplies her fans have donated. “How incredible you all are for sending these supplies to the victims of Helene.”

“I have been crying and praying with my friends this morning talking about the love that people have for one another and how GOD is working through us all during this time,” Wagner continued. “I love you all so much for giving to these helicopters so they can provide the items needed in areas that can’t be reached. Thank you again to @scenichelicoptertours (Les) for continuing to make runs back-and-forth in his helicopter all day long for these victims. What an angel you are. I just wanted you to see the good you are doing…God bless you all for helping and God bless the victims of this horrible tragedy.”

Hurricane Helene struck the U.S. last week, ravaging multiple states across the lower half of the east coast. The Carolinas were hit particularly hard, especially among mountain communities who experienced extreme flooding and mudslides.

Wagner has been working with a helicopter tour company that has diverted all of their resources toward providing supplies to those mountain communities, many of whom have been cut off from critical resources and transportation networks. The GoFundMe for the project has raised over $70,000 since it was created a week ago.

It is through the incredible generosity of hundreds that these communities can be taken care of and provided food and clean water. Please pray for those affected by the hurricane and that the glory of the Lord will be shown despite this tragedy.

Country icon and Appalachian native Dolly Parton has donated $1 million to aid in Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

“We’re all here to mend these broken hearts, and that’s what I’m doing here,” Parton said at a press conference. “So, I really, really wish that we were all together for another reason. But we all have seen the devastation. I mean, who knew in our little part of the country here where I was born, raised just right down the road, that we would have this kind of devastation?”

She continued, “I look around, and I think these are my mountains, these are my valleys. These are my rivers flowing like a stream. These are my people, these mountain-colored rainbows. These are my people. And this is my home.”
