Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber Announce FULL HOUSE Rewatch Podcast
By Movieguide® Contributor
Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber are teaming up again for a FULL HOUSE rewatch podcast, “How Rude, Tanneritos!”
“Jodie and I have always been close, and FULLER HOUSE just brought us even closer, and so I’m expecting that this podcast will do the same. We’re just going to get even closer,” Barber said. “FULL HOUSE was our childhood for eight years, eight very formative years. And so getting to relive those memories, things that we haven’t thought about in 35 years, I expect it’s going to deepen our bond even more than it already is.”
She joked, “At least I hope so. Or maybe we’ll hate each other at the end of this. I don’t know.”
“Who knows?” Sweetin added. “Maybe we’ll actually be Steph and Kimmy, and I’ll be like, ‘Don’t sit next to me.'”
She continued, “No, I don’t think that’s going to happen. I don’t see that as being possible. But yeah, I’m really excited to see what we get to do with this podcast. I think the fans are going to love it.”
The pair also intend their podcast to be a tribute to their late co-star Bob Saget.
“I am so eager to get these memories recorded because, ever since we lost Bob last year — and I lost my mom the year before that — I have been feeling the sense of urgency to capture these memories and get them down permanently so that we will have them forever, our kids can listen to them, our beloved fanbase, who is so loyal, can listen to this forever,” Barber shared.
So what can fans expect from the podcast?
Sweetin promised “so much behind-the-scenes stuff” as the pair rewatch the show.
Co-star Dave Coulier has also launched a FULL HOUSE rewatch podcast, but Sweetin and Barber say there is no competition between them.
“Dave’s is so different, too, than what ours is,” Sweetin explained. “His is more geared toward a video format. Ours is really audio with some clips and stuff of video…And we’re going to do his podcast. He’s going to come on and do ours. There’s no weird thing where we’re not doing each other’s shows or anything like that.”
Movieguide® previously reported on Coulier’s podcast:
Dave Coulier is taking “a trip back down memory lane” with his new FULL HOUSE podcast, sharing behind-the-scene stories about the hit show.
“I never watched FULL HOUSE,” Coulier admitted. “I really wanted to do an homage to the fans who have told us over the years how much they love FULL HOUSE and how much it meant to them, and in a lot of cases, how it not only shaped their childhood but improved their childhood. So I really wanted to give back by going over all of these episodes again and just kind of share that with the fans…it’s a trip back down memory lane for me because a lot of this stuff is brand new.”
His podcast, FULL HOUSE REWIND, will see Coulier watching the sitcom and giving his behind-the-scenes stories about making the show.
