John Schneider Celebrates Patriotism, America in New Album

DUKES OF HAZZARD star John Schneider’s new album, Made In America, is a celebration of America.

“It occurred to me [while I was] doing a lot of my social media stuff,” the actor told Movieguide®. “I started to get push back when I would say, you know, obviously we live in the greatest country in the world has ever known, I started to get people saying, ‘Well, no, we don’t, you know, because we’re this and because we’re that.’”

Schneider continued, “I was like, ‘Time out. Who is teaching you folks? Who is not teaching you about all the wonderful things, the evolution of the United States and how we’ve managed to attack every problem we’ve come up with or that’s come to us.’”

“I wrote [single ‘She’s Worth It’] with a buddy of mine to make sure people know that,” he explained. “It’s a duty, it’s a right, it’s an obligation to stand for her and fight, because she’s our nation.”

He urged people with this mindset to “read your history!”

“Read your Constitution, read your Bill of Rights, read your Declaration of Independence!” Schneider said. “See what amazing documents these are. See where we came from and how far we’ve gone.’”

He spoke in further detail about Made In America in a statement about the project, saying, “The number one reason I made this album is to exercise my first amendment right of freedom of speech.”

“There are songs here that will make you tap your foot. Songs that will make you laugh. Songs that will make you proud. And most importantly, songs that will make you think,” he continued. “Made in America is not only a celebration of American thought — it’s also a challenge for people to think things through. I hope you enjoy it and that you will share it with the patriots and naysayers in your life.”

Schneider gave fans a sneak peek at his new songs in a 2023 Instagram post from the studio.

“Wrote an amazing song yesterday about our country and our responsibility and obligation to keep her strong…” he captioned a selfie. “Because she’s worth it. I say this because it’s important to have a goal…A mission. They say it’s good to ‘stay busy’ but that’s not enough. We have to realize that we have a purpose…A design. We have to get in touch with the notion…”

He continued, “Well…I do anyway…I have to get in touch and stay in touch with the notion that God is up to something that I am part of. That means that God is ip to something that YOU are part of. So the goal is not just to [stay] busy…Then goal is to stay both useful and productive. To make a difference.”

While at the 2023 Gallatin Comic Con, the ’80s hit TV series THE DUKES OF HAZZARD stars Catherine Bach, John Schneider and Tom Wopat reunited and teased a possible reboot.

“First of all, John and Tom are family,” Bach said of her co-stars. “I love them both so much and always love to catch up with them. It’s a lot of laughs when we gather.”

“We have so much history and know everything about each other,” she added. “Well, pretty much everything. The secret to our long friendship is caring. We have seen each other through the good times and sad times…I do count on my TV cousins, and I think they know they can always count on me.”

She then teased that there could be a possible reboot.

“As far as a DUKES reunion, anything is possible,” she stated.

Schneider told Fox News Digital, “It was so great reconnecting with my castmates from THE DUKES OF HAZZARD. I don’t know how to explain it, but we have been closer than Bo, Luke and Daisy since the moment we met.”

“Through the best, worst and most challenging times of my life, Tom and Catherine have always been there,” he continued. “Forty-something years later, we could not be better friends.”
