Jonathan Roumie shared THE CHOSEN Season 4 poster, revealing that the trailer will be shown with CHRISTMAS WITH THE CHOSEN this December.

“MY friends…The official poster for Season 4 is here – and it speaks volumes about all that’s to come. Tell me what you think!” Roumie shared across social media. “ALSO – the official trailer for Season 4 is coming soon too. When you watch CHRISTMAS WITH THE CHOSEN in theaters next month, you’ll get a first look at the FULL Season 4 trailer during the previews.”

Season 4 will follow Jesus and the disciples as they start to close in on the crucifixion. This season will feature more sorrow than the previous seasons as things get increasingly heavy for our Savior.

The entire season will hit the big screen first before releasing to various streaming sites. The first three episodes of the season will arrive in theaters on Feb. 4, 2024.

However, fans of THE CHOSEN will have a chance to celebrate Christmas with the all-new CHRISTMAS WITH THE CHOSEN: HOLY NIGHT. Through this project, director and creator Dallas Jenkins combined his previous holiday specials into one cohesive nativity movie.

HOLY NIGHT combines stories of the nativity told from the perspective of the shepherds and from the perspective of Mary and Joseph into one movie that brings the story of Christ’s birth to life like never before.

This holiday celebration will premiere in theaters across the U.S. and Canada from Dec. 12 through 17. Tickets are available now.

Movieguide® previously reported on season 4 of THE CHOSEN:

THE CHOSEN creator Dallas Jenkins revealed that season 4 will have more sorrow mixed with joy as the series reaches its halfway mark and Jesus’ journey continues toward the cross.

“We’re getting closer and closer to what we know is coming,” Jenkins told Fox News. “There’s some extreme pain and sadness that’s coming soon in future seasons.”

“And of course, there’s also some extreme joy that’s coming. But on the way there, Jesus is getting increasingly sad because of the fact that things are getting increasingly heavy,” he continued.

The director told the Christian Post that Jesus sees that his friends and followers don’t understand why He’s here. “They’re not hearing Him correctly when He tells them explicitly what’s coming, and that breaks his heart,” Jenkins explained.

Season 4 also includes the story of Lazarus’ death and Jesus raising him from the dead. The shortest verse in the Bible – “Jesus wept” – occurs during this story.
