Karen Kingsbury Can’t Wait for Audiences to Watch This Movie on GAF

Karen Kingsbury explained why she is so excited for her next project, SOMEONE LIKE YOU, to air on Great American Family Network later this month.

“Of all the books I have written, Someone Like You is easily my readers’ favorite,” Kingsbury told Parade. “The only way to make the movie in my heart was to make it myself.”

SOMEONE LIKE YOU follows the life of architect Dawson Gage whose life is turned upside down when his best friend London is hit by a car. However, he soon learns that she had a biological twin and goes on a journey to meet her. A portion of Movieguide®’s review reads:

Based on a novel by Karen Kingsbury, SOMEONE LIKE YOU is a heartwarming tale about love and reconciliation. Viewers will enjoy clean, uplifting entertainment with a faith-based perspective. While this is not Kingsbury’s first novel she has turned into a movie or TV show, she still turned the project over the Lord, completely relying on Him when working on it.

“The casting process was very competitive, so I am thrilled with the talented actors who will bring Someone Like You to life,” Karen Kingsbury explained in 2022 when work on the project was just beginning. “This brilliant team resonated deeply with the script and understands the heartfelt and redemptive message of the story. Every day is an adventure. Working with people who actually exist is very different than being buried in the pages of a novel. I’m loving it!”
