Christian singer Katy Nichole announced her new 12-track album Honest Conversations will release this August.
The “In Jesus’ Name” singer dropped the album’s title track “Honest Conversations” on April 18, debuting the song on Instagram.
The lyrics say, “Can I just be real for a minute? The trust in you gets lost in my feelings. This war inside is flesh and spirit, and it feels like flesh is gonna win it. But you’re the one I put my faith in. The proof is that I’m still here praying. I know you care what my heart’s really saying. So God let’s have an honest conversation.”
Fans in the comment section praised the new song. “Love this song so much!! Can’t wait to start listening to it!!” one user said.
Another person added, “Katy you are an incredible lyricist and artist. The spirit is definitely working through you and healing people with your music.”
In a separate post, Nichole shared her heart behind her sophomore album.
“I am SO EXCITED to announce that my sophomore album ‘Honest Conversations’ is releasing on August 15th !!!” the award-winning singer began. “I have been putting my whole heart into writing this record and I am so passionate about this next chapter. As I reflect on these songs I can’t help but think about 15 year old me…I was so depressed and fighting some of the worst pain I’ve ever gone through.”
She explained that despite how hard her teen years were, she is so grateful she never gave up. She added, “I hope this record is your safe place — an escape when life becomes overwhelming. I just want you to know that you don’t have to go through this alone…Loneliness and shame love to say that ‘it’s just you’ but trust me, I think we are about to find out that we are more alike than we thought.”
Nichole explained that this album will cover “a broad range of topics.”

She concluded “I am making a choice to be a voice for the ones who don’t have one. Honest conversations are sometimes difficult and uncomfortable at times but honest conversations need to be had… 💙☎️”
Nichole has been candid about how God saved her from a suicide attempt.
She previously told Candace Cameron Bure that she planned to take a bottle of pills to end her life. “But somehow, it slipped out and it was on the floor, and that, for me, just led me to breaking down. But in a moment of complete silence, I just felt the Lord saying, ‘Hold on, I’m not done yet.’ It was a rush through my entire being. It wasn’t just peace; it was like a literal river of peace. And I knew that there was still more for my life,” she explained.
Nichole makes it her life’s purpose to encourage those who are going through the darkest of times, and that’s what she hopes her new album will do. Honest Conversations releases August 15, 2025.
