While on his BRAVE Story Hour book tour Kirk Cameron paired up with Franklin Graham for an event on Saturday at Billy Graham’s Library in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The event attracted over 1,000 guests which contributed to two sold out book readings filled with faith, freedom, and family.
Trent Talbot, CEO and founder of Brave Books and Cameron’s publisher stated, “While most of the libraries on this tour have been opposed to us and made our lives as difficult as possible, it was such a treat to be hosted so graciously by Franklin Graham and the incredible staff at the Billy Graham Library.”
He added, “The people of Charlotte showed up in incredible numbers and had a fun and wholesome story hour at a beautiful library.”
Talbot concluded, “It was a great day and a big win for the good guys!”
Prior to the event, Franklin Graham stated in an interview, “It’s a shame that some libraries and activists have tried to stop him. They want him to shut up and sit down — but Kirk isn’t afraid to take a stand for what’s right, and I couldn’t be more proud of him.”
Afterward Graham Tweeted, “I appreciate that Kirk takes a bold stand and isn’t afraid to speak up for God’s truth. Kirk was a great encouragement to all the parents who came today.”
Movieguide® recently reported on Cameron’s book tour in Scottsdale, Arizona:
In his continued country wide tour, Kirk Cameron visits Scottsdale, Arizona alongside Mark Lamb, who also just announced his run for senate.
“I can’t wait to visit family and friends in Arizona for our next Brave Books story hour,” Cameron stated.
Cameron also invited Governor Katie Hobbs to the event.
“You’re invited to the library as guest of honor,” he said as he spoke directly to Hobbs — “and I’m reserving you a front-row seat.”
“Spoiler alert: The kids will want you to sit Indian-style with them in the front row so you can join them in singing ‘God Bless America’ and maybe even lead us in a prayer. Please come,” Cameron added.
The plan for the group is to say the Pledge of Allegiance, then “sing the national anthem and pray outside the library.”
Sheriff Lamb stated, “Protecting the innocence of children is vital to the preservation of the values this country was founded upon. This woke virus that seems to be spreading across our nation is coming after our kids.”
A spokesperson for Brave Books, a publishing company, stated, “We need government officials to participate in the fruitful upbringing of the next generation. The American people look up to our representatives, and we must elect individuals that will stand up for values like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness and more.”
CEO of Brave Books Trent Talbot also expressed, “We have a fight on our hands for the soul of the country. We all need to ask ourselves what we can do to preserve the Christian values this country was founded upon.”
“That means making books that parents and grandparents can trust and taking back our libraries,” he added.
