Kirstie Alley’s Family to Auction Her Collection A Year After Her Death

Kirstie Alley’s daughters have announced an auction of many of their mother’s personal items, allowing her legacy to live on in hundreds of homes.

“Our mom collected so many fun and unique things over her incredible life,” Alley’s daughters, True and Lillie Parker, said. “We want to share some of them with others in the hopes of spreading her love of decorating.”

Before coming to fame through STAR TREK and CHEERS, Alley was a trained interior designer – a background that she carried with her the rest of her life as she collected unique modern and antique pieces.

“A lover of both style and function, [Alley] surrounded herself with items she loved no matter where they came from,” a representative of Alley’s said. “She was always looking for the next great piece and had no problem designing around them or waiting for inspiration to strike.”

The auction will occur in three stages, lasting from now until April 7.

The first sale will center largely around indoor furniture pieces including lamps, bronze statues, clocks, upholstered chairs, Rococo giltwood mirrors, antique carousel panels and other French antiques. This stage is currently open for bidding and will close on Jan. 7.

The next stage will focus on outdoor furniture along with larger and more unique indoor pieces. The items available for bidding, according to PEOPLE, include statues, cast iron planters, a pre-Columbian artifact and a Victorian bird cage.

The third stage will also feature a Third Empire chandelier, Italian pottery, a French oak kitchen table and hand-painted panels from the late designer Sister Parish. Items from this stage will be available between Jan. 22 and Feb. 4.

The final sale will include smaller pieces from the estate, particularly Alley’s fashion, including pieces from designers like Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin, Fendi and Alexander McQueen. Bidding will open on March 18 and close April 7.

Alley passed away on Dec. 5, 2022 after a short battle with cancer. She was 71.
