A Liberty University graduate, known by his alias “Country Ninja Boy,” is rising to the top in the latest season of AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR as he recently earned a spot in the finals.

Josiah Singleton graduated in 2019 and is now pursuing his master’s of divinity in Biblical Studies.

Singleton is in his third year of competing in the obstacle course competition show and has a shot at winning $100,000. Singleton could also win $1 million if he can complete all four obstacles on the course.

“Definitely an incentive to train harder, but just like I said, I’m just out there for fun anyways,” he told WLNI 105.9 FM in a recent interview.

Despite his success, he said his motivation for his time on the competition show is simple: it looked fun.

“I wish I had like a really crazy story, but I don’t,” Singleton said. “I just thought it looked like fun. Oh, that looks cool. I think I’ll just go for it.”

Singleton said that he is thankful for the support he feels from fellow students and the schools as well as youth from his church.

“The kids have been getting very excited. And it’s been awesome having the support from them. Getting to see just how much they love on you. It’s just been a blessing,” he said.
