Lindsay Lohan Delivers First Baby: ‘Over the Moon in Love’

Actress Lindsay Lohan and her husband, Bader Shammas, recently confirmed that they delivered their first baby boy!

A representative told PEOPLE, “Lindsay Lohan and her Financier husband, Bader Shammas, welcomed a beautiful, healthy son named Luai. The family is over the moon in love.”

The child’s exact date of birth has yet to be released.

Luai was born in Dubai and is an Arabic name which means “shield or protector.”

Lohan previously told Allure in June, “I can’t wait to see what the feeling is and what it’s like to just be a mom. Happy tears. That’s just who I am. Though now, it’s probably baby emotion. It’s overwhelming in a good way.”

Lohan reached out to fellow actress Jamie Lee Curtis to ask for advice on being a new mother.

“I spoke to Jamie Lee Curtis recently and she was like, ‘You just bring the baby with you and everything will be fine,’” Lohan said.

Lohan originally shared the big news of her pregnancy on her Instagram. She wrote, “We are blessed and excited! ????.”

Additionally, PEOPLE caught up with Dina Lohan, Lindsay’s mother, to get her take on the exciting.

“Lindsay has always loved kids because I love kids and my mother loves kids; I’m one of four,” Dina stated. “We have a big family, so she’s always wanted children. And she’s so maternal. Isabelle, her niece, just runs to her when she sees her.”

Dina added that the timing is perfect, “She’s been trying and then it happened, that little stick came up positive,” she expressed. “It’s the right time for her and Bader is an angel. Her husband is so sweet and they’re just so happy. They’re just really happy and ready.”

Lohan shared a collection and nursery she created with Nestig, a furniture and décor company specifically designed for nurseries.
