‘Lives Changed’: Danny Gokey Celebrates End Of Tour

By Movieguide® Contributor

Danny Gokey is celebrating the end of his “Stay Strong” tour.

“What. A. Tour,” he captioned an Instagram video made up of clips from the shows. “26 cities. Over 600 decisions to follow Jesus. Countless fun moments shared, memories made and lives changed.”

Gokey shouted out tourmates Austin French and Natalie Layne, writing, “You are the real deal, and it meant so much to have you be a part of this tour!”

“I’m incredibly grateful that I get to share these messages of hope, and for the amazing band, crew, sponsors & promoter team that make it possible every single night!” he continued. “And most importantly, to each of YOU who are there to sing, dance and worship with us! It’s been a blast…THANK YOU!!!”

French commented, “Geeeze what a tour!! So thankful for this amazing team. @dannygokey and @natalielaynemusic y’all are legends. Honored to have been on this tour with you!”

Layne also celebrated the “Stay Strong” tour on social media, writing, “It’s such a special group of people out here on the road and I’m never gonna forget it.”

Gokey previously promised fans a tour that would be “a little different” from ones he had done in the past, adding, “In addition to all of the fan favorites you know, there may be a sneak peek of some new music I’ve been working on, too.”

“I’m really looking forward to joining with [French and Layne] in bringing these special nights and uplifting messages of hope through music. And, if you know me, there will be plenty of fun moments thrown in too!” the singer concluded.

Movieguide® previously reported on Gokey’s Stay Strong Tour:

For Christian artist Danny Gokey, his “Stay Strong” tour isn’t just about the music but about the chance for Christian fans to reach out to their non-Christian friends.

“Something interesting has been happening on this tour,” Gokey began in a video posted on Instagram. “Now, on all my tours, I’ve always given an invitation for people to follow Christ from their seats, but this year, the Lord said, ‘Bring them to the altar.’”

The “Hope in Front of Me” singer admitted he was initially “nervous” about the exhortation, believing most of his concertgoers were already believers. Then he realized how many of those in attendance were not.

“Well, to my surprise, people were coming to the altars, and we’ve had hundreds of people that have come to the altars. And another cool thing is we’ve been able to give each person a Bible who professes Christ…for the first time,” Gokey said.
