FULL HOUSE Actress Says ‘We Really Are A Family’

FULL HOUSE Actress Says ‘We Really Are A Family’

By Movieguide® Contributor

Lori Loughlin is opening up about her relationships with the FULL HOUSE cast.

Her friendships with the cast began with John Stamos, as the two were both on soap operas and met at an event for the genre.

“We became friends,” she said in an episode of FULL HOUSE REWIND. “We knew each other, we stayed in touch for a while — I had come out to California, he took me to Disneyland — and then, because I lived on the East Coast [and] he lived on the West Coast, we sort of lost touch with one another.”

A few years later, Loughlin had moved to LA and was looking for work when she got a call from her agent about trying out for a part on FULL HOUSE. She auditioned and won the role.

“I remember calling my mother…and saying, ‘I don’t know if this show’s going to make it or not, but I have a feeling if it does, I’m going to be on it for the duration,’” she recalled, adding, “Dave, I will never forget you saying, ‘I think Lori’s going to be with us for a long time.’”

The actress quickly bonded with the rest of the cast, saying, “The first week that I was there, working on the show — at the end of the week, my stomach was really sore…and I realized, ‘Oh, my gosh, just from laughing!’ I had been laughing so hard all week, you guys were so funny.”

“We had truly so much of life together,” Loughlin concluded. “We really are a family…just a full cycle of life and just always there for each other and you know, honestly, I couldn’t love you, John, Candace, Jody, Andrea, Scott — couldn’t love you more than I do.”

The rest of the FULL HOUSE cast has said similar things, with Stamos calling his relationship with Loughlin a “true friendship that’s…the foundation of a great, lasting relationship” in his memoir.

The group frequently hangs out and even runs into each other when they’re out and about.

“I was taking a walk through Beverly Hills today and guess who spotted me?” Dave Coulier posted on Instagram earlier this summer, along with a selfie of himself and Loughlin. “What are the chances! ?Everywhere you look?”

Movieguide® previously reported on Loughlin’s faith:

Lori Loughlin is sharing her thoughts on the importance of perseverance and opening up about the role faith plays in her life.

“Every day we’re met with different obstacles, but it’s all in how you approach things,” the actress explained in an interview with FIRST For Women. “My advice is to just keep moving forward. Everyone has good times and bad times. That’s life. I think you just have to pick yourself up. Nobody said life was going to be a breeze. There’s beauty in life, but there’s also hardship in life.”

The WHEN CALLS THE HEART actress also discussed forgiveness, saying she’s “not one to hold onto stuff…We’ve all been in positions to ask for forgiveness but to ask for it, you have to learn and know how to give forgiveness, too.”

Loughlin then talked about her faith, explaining that she feels like she has a guardian angel.

“It’s a feeling. I don’t know how to describe it. It could be my father, it could be my grandmother, it could be my grandfather,” she said, adding, “I just feel there’s a higher power looking out for all of us or carrying us through the tough times.”

The actress has previously spoken about her faith, with an inside source telling Us Weekly, “Her faith has gotten her through [her incarceration for her role in the college admissions scandal].”
