AMERICAN IDOL judge Luke Bryan canceled his fourth show this month due to health concerns.
The singer-songwriter wrote on X, “Dear Brandon, MS I am regretfully going to have to cancel my show there tonight. Under doctor advisement after taking 6 days off to heal I attempted to sing at both shows Thursday and Saturday and it was a struggle. Every show I sing I’m setting my voice back. I will continue to do everything I can to get better. Please know how much you mean to me and how heartbreaking this is to do. -Luke”

Fox News Digital did not receive an additional comment from Bryan.
Bryan had struggled with a “head cold” and canceled shows in Washington, Utah and Idaho. The country star was also scheduled to perform at the Waterline Festival in George, Washington, but was unable to due to illness.
“This is such a frustrating weekend. ‘Shedders, I am sorry to let you down, but I am not back singing – can hardly even talk still,” Bryan wrote on his Instagram story.
“This festival is one of the most beautiful places we perform and one of the most fun crowds always,” he added. “I know my friends on the show will bring a great time for you! Show them all what you got. Love ya – Luke.”
In another statement to his fans in Boise, Idaho, Bryan wrote, “Dear Boise fans – this is so hard for me to do but I am going to have to cancel my show on August 5th at Ford Center. Under the advisement of doctors, I need another day to rest my voice and get better.”
“There is nothing that I love more than to play live shows and I am so disappointed to not be able to do this for you,” he added.
Bryan has eight shows left in August and another six in September. Fox reports that it is unclear if he will perform at his August 17 show in Cincinnati.
Bryan shared on his Instagram his new All Farm Tour scheduled for September. Bryan wrote, “All #FarmTour2023 shows, including the newly announced Michigan show, are on sale NOW! Get your tickets and we’ll see YOU out on the farm. #HeresToTheFarmer.”
Movieguide® recently reported:
As season 21 of AMERICAN IDOL continued, contestant Megan Danielle decided to take a risk, one that landed her a spot in the top eight.
Megan Danielle performed the song, “Go Rest High on That Mountain” by Vince Gill.
The lyrics read, “Go rest high on that mountain/ ‘cause Son your work on earth is done/ go to Heaven a shoutin’ love for the Father and the Son.”
Once Danielle concluded the performance, Luke Bryan revealed that he had picked the song for her and that it was nothing short of “unbelievable.”
“What I love about you is … you’re never scared to tell everybody your faith,” Bryan stated to Danielle.
He added, “When I thought about that song, I … just felt in my heart that I couldn’t pick a better one than that for you.”
