Mariah Carey Announces Christmas Tour: ‘Defrosting Has Begun!’

While fall just started, Mariah Carey is looking ahead to winter as she prepares to start her annual “Merry Christmas One and All!” tour.
“Yes, the actual defrosting has begun! Announcing the MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL Tour!” Carey said on X at the beginning of October.

The 13-venue tour kicks off on November 15 in Highland, California, before wrapping up in New York City on December 17 after stops across the country and Canada.
Now known as the “Queen of Christmas,” Carey’s hit song “All I Want for Christmas” began its journey to the top of the charts in December 2017 as music streaming became more popular. In 2018, the song ranked in the top 5 for the first time, breathing new life into the single that first released in 1994.
By 2019, “All I Want for Christmas” began its unprecedented streak as it topped the charts for the first time—something it has repeated every December since. Last year, Carey managed to overthrow Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero,” ending its six-week streak at No. 1.

The pop star announced the beginning of the Christmas season with a video posted to Twitter and Instagram.
The video shows Carey riding an exercise bike in a witch costume, surrounded by pumpkins, bats, and discarded calendar pages.
As the pages countdown to November 1, the video cuts to Carey in a red Christmas jumpsuit yelling, “It’s time!”
