‘Match Made in Heaven’: LEGO Announces BLUEY Collection

By Movieguide® Contributor

These days, BLUEY is everywhere — including the toy aisle! LEGO just announced a BLUEY collection is coming soon.

“LEGO® Bluey merges the globally adored world of BLUEY with the fun and creative possibilities of the LEGO universe for the very first time,” the toy website reads. “We’re aiming to create as many fun moments of imaginative roleplay and creativity for families as they build, as you can see Bluey and her family having when you watch the show!”

LEGO will be releasing six BLUEY sets in 2025, ranging across the LEGO 4+ and LEGO DUPLO themes.

“It’s been a long time coming, and we believe that this partnership is a match made in heaven for younger builders and families alike,” Michaela Edgerley Stovicek, Head of Preschool at the LEGO Group, said in a press release about the partnership. “Just like the LEGO brand, the Bluey brand has play at the heart of everything they do, which aligns perfectly with the LEGO brand values and mission.”

Julie Kekwick, Head of Licensing Hardlines Consumer Products at BBC Studios, added, “We believe that LEGO BLUEY products will offer families a fantastic new way to engage with beloved characters and stories from the hit animated series, cultivating even more imaginative play inspired by the Heelers.”

LEGO isn’t the first major toy company BLUEY has paired up with. A recent Build-A-Bear collection sold out online in just one day.

There are also plenty of exciting BLUEY projects coming up, onscreen and off. It was recently announced that the characters of BLUEY will be coming to Disney’s theme parks and cruise lines.

BLUEY is also coming to the big screen. The movie is set to premiere in theaters in 2027 and will be available to stream later on Disney+.

“I really enjoyed the experience of working with a longer format on ‘The Sign’ in Series 3, so going even further with a feature film feels like a natural extension of that,” BLUEY creator Joe Brumm said in a press release. “I’ve always thought BLUEY deserved a theatrical movie. I want this to be an experiential event for the whole family to enjoy together. I’m excited to continue to partner with Cecilia Persson, Tom Fussell and the team at BBC Studios, and Dana Walden, Alan Bergman and Disney to bring this new BLUEY story to the big screen.”
