There’s a new member of the Marrs family, and Jenny Marrs is sharing all the details of how it happened.

“Tonight’s episode ends with a pet adoption event and (shockingly!) we didn’t go home with a new pet that day,” Marrs captioned a February Instagram post. “We had no plans to adopt another pet until Holly’s new foster kittens moved in and Lloyd made his way into our hearts.”

She shared that Lloyd has brought “much joy and laughter” to her family and praised Holly Brookhauser, who runs Paws of Oz pet rescue, where they adopted Lloyd from. The Marrs also built a “catio” for the Brookhauser house.

“The work Holly does with @pawsofoz is so incredible and our family is personally grateful for her dedication to caring for animals in need and ensuring they find loving forever homes!!” Marrs concluded.

In another post, Marrs shared that, after Brookhauser sent her a photo of the cats enjoying the catio, she “couldn’t get past how adorable itty bitty Lloyd was.”

“We adopted our sweet boy not long after,” she added.

In a recent Instagram Q&A, she revealed how the family’s new kitten got its name.

“Because Dave was surprised by our new addition (this happens often), he got to choose the name,” Marrs shared. “He chose: Lloyd. It makes me laugh everytime I say it.”

She continued, “Lloyd-the-cat is growing so quickly and is hilarious and fun and keeps us laughing. Dave pretends he doesn’t love him but he sends me videos like this one when I’m at work and calls to tell me how much Lloyd likes his newest toy. Lloyd loves to sleep at my feet and meow on my head in the morning when he’s hungry. He has brought us so much joy!”

Marrs recently shared some details about the upcoming berry season for her family’s Bentonville berry farm.

“This summer, we are simplifying things and returning to a low-key, family-friendly U-Pick season at the farm,” she and husband Dave announced. “This will give more families an opportunity to visit and enjoy this special place and be a part of the mission of our farm.”

The farm helps to fund “an agricultural and vocational skills training program for orphaned and at-risk teens in a rural village in Zimbabwe” and has been active since 2015.

“This June, we will welcome you all to the farm once again to enjoy the fields and the sunshine and to be a part of something bigger: caring well for our global neighbors,” another post from the Marrses reads. “We can’t wait to welcome you all to the farm once again.”

Marrses’ social media fans are looking forward to updates on the upcoming berry season — as well as updates on Lloyd the cat.
