MLB All-Star Pitcher Talks About the Role Jesus Plays in his Life

Craig Kimbrel, MLB All-Star and pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies, recently preached the importance of God.
“At one point in my life, I had everything that I wanted, but something was still missing. I think that’s a story that a lot of people can tell who’ve had success, who’s made money. All those things don’t fill you. They sometimes make you more empty and the only answer is Jesus and what we can do to let everyone know who He is,“ Kimbrel told reporters.
Craig Kimbrel is an elite pitcher with an incredible career; He is the eighth player in MLB history to reach 400 career saves, won Rookie of the Year in 2011, and became a World Series champion in 2018.
Craig Kimbrel was invited to his 9th All-Star game. After winning the game, Kimbrel was interviewed by reporters.
“If we look in the mirror at who we are, I mean, we don’t deserve anything. We don’t deserve all the things we’re given in life but for some reason God continues to give them to us,” said Kimbrel.
Craig Kimbrel has been spreading the importance of God for years now.
In 2017, Craig Kimbrel had his first daughter. Unfortunately, she was born with a heart condition and required multiple operations.
When asked about his daughter’s condition, Craig Kimbrel had this to say, “Our daughter has gone through some very intensive surgeries and we’ve had a lot of scares, but through a lot of that, for some reason, I felt very strong. I guess because I had to be. I had to be strong for my wife, strong for my family and I think the only person that could have done that is God Himself and Jesus through me.”
Following the MLB All-Star game, the Philadelphia Phillies will try to continue their winning streak. Last year, the Phillies were two games away from winning the World Series. They hope to return to the big stage and win it this year.
