By Jessilyn Lancaster, Managing Editor
The National Radio Broadcasters Convention today awarded the 27th Annual Movieguide® Gala and Report to the Entertainment Industry TV program as the Television Program of the Year in February.
“We are so honored that NRB would honor our ministry that brings the Good News to Hollywood,” said Dr. Ted Baehr, founder and publisher of Movieguide®. “Our heart is to share the Gospel above all else, and we will continue to influence the entertainment industry for His glory.”
The 27th Annual Movieguide® Awards Gala and Report to the Entertainment Industry premiered on the Hallmark Channel on Feb. 25, 2019. Candace Cameron Bure and her daughter, Natasha, hosted the event.
Many celebrities took time to honor the Lord during the broadcast, including Jim Caviezel, who played Luke in PAUL, APOSTLE OF CHRIST.
Caviezel stunned audiences when he gave his award to co-star Paul Faulkner.
“My performance in this film would’ve been incomplete without the great James Faulkner…his ability to transcend and let God’s light come through him… is the reason I am giving this award to him,” Caviezel said.
NRB recognized the program for its excellence in production, service to the community, faithfulness to the mission, commitment to the Gospel, and personal integrity.
The 28th Annual Movieguide® Awards and Report to the Entertainment Industry premiered on Hallmark Drama on Feb. 24, 2020. It can be streamed on the Hallmark Channel Everywhere app today.
