Netflix’s Upcoming Movies Star Jerry Seinfeld, Brooke Shields and More

Netflix just revealed some first looks at their upcoming projects, from Jerry Seinfeld’s directorial debut to new animated movies.
The streamer’s most-anticipated new movie is UNFROSTED: THE POP-TART STORY, which tells the story of cereal company rivals Kellogg’s and Post as they try to one-up each other in the 1960s.
“I loved doing it because I love the Pop-Tart,” Seinfeld said of the project. “When I was a kid and the Pop-Tart came out, the back of my head blew right off.”
The movie stars Seinfeld, Melissa McCarthy and fellow stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan. Seinfeld and Gaffigan have worked together before. Movieguide® previously reported:

The duo announced their upcoming tour this fall. They plan to stop in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and St. Louis.
“Jim and I met doing Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and have been talking about doing this for years,” Deadline reported of Seinfeld. “We finally made the schedules work out. Can’t wait.”
“I’m so excited to help out this unknown up and upcoming comedian who many may have never heard of,” Gaffigan said jokingly. “I know it will be an amazing bunch of shows.”
Netflix also revealed a slate of upcoming action movies, including THE UNION, starring Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry, REBEL MOON — PART TWO: THE SCARGIVER and BACK IN ACTION, starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz.
Animated movies like WOODY WOODPECKER GOES TO CAMP and THE CASAGRANDES MOVIE (based on the Nickelodeon series THE CASAGRANDES) will premiere on the streaming service this spring.
According to What’s On Netflix, THE CASAGRANDES MOVIE follows the events of the show, which “focuses on Ronnie Anne, an independent and adventurous 11-year-old who explores city life with her big, loving, multi-generational Mexican-American family.”
Netflix also announced two new romantic comedies — IRISH WISH, starring Lindsay Lohan, and MOTHER OF THE BRIDE, starring Brooke Shields and Miranda Cosgrove.
IRISH WISH was filmed in Ireland, which Lohan called “so beautiful.”
“I’d never been, [but] my grandfather’s from there,” the actress said. “We stayed in this little town called Dalkey. The people are so nice, and the Guinness pies were amazing.”
