Great American Family announced that Lori Loughlin will star in an upcoming movie, BLESSINGS OF CHRISTMAS.
In the upcoming movie, Loughlin plays “renowned TV star Mandy Gilmore, who is saying goodbye to her hit culinary series, A World of Food, so she can travel the globe and dine in all 142 Michelin star restaurants,” the logline states. “Before jetting to Paris, Mandy stops in Milwaukee with the deed to her deceased aunt’s food pantry, Angel’s Fare, recently purchased by adjacent business owner, Adam Carraway. It’s a simple transaction until pantry volunteer Otto Nesses reminds everyone that Aunt Susie’s love of cooking was actually love of feeding – which inspires one more holiday feast for those who needs it most.”
The movie will premiere during Great American Christmas which returns on October 28th; during which, the network premieres new holiday movies every Saturday and Sunday through the year’s end.
BLESSINGS OF CHRISTMAS was written by Alfonso H. Moreno and directed by David Winning. The movie was executive produced by Brad Krevoy, Amy Krell, Vince Balzano, Alfonso Moreno, Lori Loughlin, and Susie Belzberg Krevoy.
Movieguide® previously reported on this year’s Great American Christmas:
The network will begin its “Great American Christmas” early, kicking off the buildup to the holidays in October.
Among the new movies to be released this year is a new CHRISTMAS BY CHANCE, starring Trevor Donovan (DANCING WITH THE STARS) and Merritt Patterson (THE ROYALS, CATERING CHRISTMAS).
“In CHRISTMAS BY CHANCE, Addie (Paterson), a New York City chiropractor mistankly receives a text from “Nana.” The accidental text turns into a loving friendship between the matronly Nana and Addie who now communicate regularly. Nana invites Addie to spend the holiday in Vermont. It is picture-postcard perfect and exactly as Nana describes except for one surprise. Nana’s single son, James (Donovan), a traveling doctor is also home for the holidays. Over three consecutive years, James and Addie are together during the holidays, though it isn’t until they are both single that they begin to see each other in a different light,” according to Deadline.
The Christmas celebration on Great American Family will include 24/7 holiday movies, with their original movies premiering on Saturdays and Sundays through the end of the year.
