According to a new study by the International Bulletin of Missionary Research, 2.2 billion of the world’s 6.7 billion people are Christian, with 1.5 billion of them being “church attenders.”
Of the 2.2 billion Christians:
· 170,000 are new converts every day, but 91,000 defect, for a net gain of 79,000 per day out of 219,000 new people every day, or 36%.
· Thus, every year, the number of Christians increases by 28,835,000 people.
· There are 39,000 separate Christian denominations in the world.
· Christian church members globally have an income of $18,170 billion.
· Christians have comprised about 33% of the world’s population since 1800.
