“What once seemed impossible is now reality. Such a blessing to live out a childhood dream and compete in the NFL Combine. It would not be possible without God, He opens every door,” he added on Instagram.
With his faith firmly rooted in the Lord, Reed knew if God wanted him to play in the NFL, he would make it happen.
At the end of his college career, the athlete shared a meaningful post on Instagram. He wrote, “Thank you College Football. Thank you for the highs and lows. Thank you for championships and losses. Thank you for memories and lessons. I thank God for it all because it has turned a boy into a man. I am fulfilled and more than thankful for my college career, every step of it was part of Gods master plan to prepare me. I look forward to what’s next in His plans for my life.”
Reed included Genesis 28:15, which reads, “I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”
On the Sports Spectrum Podcast, he discussed how much his faith truly means to him.
“I’m a strong believer in every single day that I wake up is a blessing, and everything that’s been given to me in this life was given to me by the Lord,” Reed explained. “… I am nothing without my Lord and Savior.”
“I feel very strongly about the fact that if you have a close relationship with God and are truly deep in prayer and you ask the Lord for direction, He will reveal to you what the plan that He has for your life is,” he added.
