Olivia Newton-John’s Daughter Chloe Lattanzi ‘Not Been OK’ Since Mom’s Death
By Movieguide® Contributor
Chloe Lattanzi, daughter of GREASE actress Olivia Newton-John, revealed on Instagram that she has “not been OK” since her mother died last August.
“If I have forgotten to return your calls, I’ve had extreme memory loss,” Lattanzi said. “I’ve had difficulty getting out of bed. I’ve stuck to my commitments, but I’ve been neglecting myself.”
Newton-John had told her daughter to take care of herself. Lattanzi stated that she needs to honor her mother and make that a priority now.
“One of my mom’s biggest messages was take care of you,” she added. “If you don’t take care of you, you cannot give your full capacity of love, wisdom, kindness, and power to everyone else.”
Good Morning America reported, “Lattanzi, who said she is planning on participating in Olivia’s Walk for Wellness—an annual 5K walk in Melbourne, Australia…—said she will ‘disappear for about three weeks just to honor my mind, body, and spirit’ following the Oct. 8 event.”
Olivia’s Walk for Wellness supports the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre, which runs on donations.
In a recent interview, Lattanzi shared one of the most important things she learned from her mother: “None of us get out of this alive. We’re all going to—like my mum said—enjoy every day. Even if it’s difficult, find the beauty…even in the pain, if you can. This is such a short experience, right? So we have got to make the most of every moment and be present in as much as we can. That’s what I really, really learnt from her.”
