Oscars Prove How Schizophrenic Hollywood Has Become

Sunday night’s Oscar ceremony was perhaps the perfect example of how schizophrenic Hollywood has become.
On the one hand, the good news is that many of the winners were well-deserved picks. For example, Movieguide® Award-nominated movies like DUNE, BELFAST, and KING RICHARD took home some major awards.
On the other hand, undeserving movies like THE POWER OF THE DOG, CRUELLA and the politically correct WEST SIDE STORY also took home some major awards.
As for the ceremony itself, there were some gracious acceptance speeches, many positive references to family and pleas to support the people of Ukraine suffering from an immoral, ultraviolent onslaught from Russia.
However, there was also a lot of propaganda for identity politics. For example, co-host Wanda Sykes, a self-identified lesbian, spread more leftist misinformation about the Florida bill protecting children in Grades K-3 from inappropriate, perverted sexual indoctrination by predators trying to groom young children in the public schools for their own private amusement. She said she was hoping the ceremony would be all about “gay, gay, gay, gay.” Say what???
Earlier in the evening, Smith let his emotions get the best of him when he took umbrage at an unthinking attack on his wife from comedian Chris Rock. Bravo to Smith for standing up to defend his wife. That’s what he should have done. However, when he went on stage to slap Rock and angrily mouthed two “f” words afterwards, he went too far and damaged his own righteous outrage.
Later, during his acceptance speech for winning best actor for KING RICHARD, Smith repeated some wise words that actor Denzel Washington, a strong Christian believer, told Smith after the altercation with Chris Rock. He said Denzel told him to always be aware that it’s often when we’re at our highest level of achievement and happiness that Satan comes along to tempt us to crash and burn.
Just when you thought Hollywood and the Oscars have sunk to their lowest levels yet, a major celebrity comes along and preaches the Gospel!
Hallelujah!!!
