By Movieguide® Contributor
Movieguide® award presenter Patricia Heaton is slated to star in the new psychological horror-thriller THE BELDHAM.
“At the edge of postpartum psychosis, a new mother Harper moves in with her own mother to their family’s rural farmhouse. Soon she finds herself hunted by a threatening monster who has designs on her child,” a synopsis of the film reads.
Like Movieguide® Award-nominated A QUIET PLACE PART II, THE BELDHAM focuses on family and mother-daughter relationships. Heaton will portray Sadie, a fearless caregiver inspired to protect her family at all costs.
Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Corbin Bernsen will star alongside Heaton. Other top talents include Katie Parker, Emma Fitzpatrick and Hannah Reese.
THE BELDHAM will be directed by Angela Gulner and produced by Mark Meir for Wicked Myth Films.
Movieguide® previously reported on Bernsen.
Actor Corbin Bernsen revealed in a new docu-series how making a movie reignited his faith journey.
After his father passed away 15 years ago, Bernsen became “keenly aware of ‘I’m next. I’m on deck.’”
He continued, “You’re sitting with a bag of ashes and you go…‘Where’s the guy who is the little league coach?’”
In response, he wrote and starred in his 2010 movie RUST.
“It was my first faith-based movie,” Bernsen reflected. “So many miracles and wonderful things happened. It’s just God became so evident…to me.”
“Along the way we made the film, and you can only describe it as miracle after miracle happening,” he added. “I had the wisdom, insight, the guidance to film the entire thing.”
“The movie started my journey of faith, and we hope it becomes sort of a pilot for like ‘Let’s talk to other people who have faith.’”
Heaton is also vocal about her faith.

Patricia Heaton took to Instagram to share the amazing project she just completed!
“Sunday, December 18th,” the actress said. “A year ago today, I decided I would finally, for the first time in my life, read the Bible all the way through.”
Heaton shared that she had followed a plan, and “I finished it today!”
The actress showed the well-worn 2-page plan she followed, where she could check off her progress.
“Some days were just revelatory,” Heaton said. “I saw things I had never seen before. And some days were kind of a slog! Just feeling like ‘I don’t even know what any of this is about.’”
She showed off the coffee stains on the paper, as well as the list she made of all the different names for God used in the Bible: “Provider, healer, banner, shepherd, sovereign, the beginning, the end…”
“So, it was pretty cool,” the actress concluded. “And a great way to start your day.”
