PAW PATROL: THE MIGHTY MOVIE Tops Box Office

PAW PATROL: THE MIGHTY MOVIE soared to the top of the box office charts last weekend because of its family-friendly values, earning the movie $23 million.
“With decent reviews and strong audience scores, the PAW PATROL sequel almost doubled the debut of its inventively named predecessor, 2021’s PAW PATROL: THE MOVIE, which opened to $13 million while landing simultaneously on Paramount+,” Variety reported.
The animated movie pushed aside Sony Pictures’ DUMB MONEY, Lionsgate’s SAW X and Disney’s THE CREATOR. DUMB MONEY earned $3.5 million domestically, while PAW PATROL earned more than six times that amount.
“The newest adventure based on the popular Nickelodeon kids TV show also launched at the international box office with $23.1 million, bringing its global tally to $46.1 million,” Variety reported.

PAW PATROL: THE MIGHTY MOVIE is a fun, action-packed movie for all ages. It has a strong moral worldview stressing sharing, selfless acts, courage, and the importance of family. It does have some scenes of cartoon action and peril, along with a scene about an orphaned pup that could bother younger viewers. Ultimately, THE MIGHTY MOVIE succeeds in showing that real power comes from sharing, loving one another and family.
PAW PATROL had success at the box office because its creators chose to make it safe and enjoyable for families and because it contains little objectionable content.
Director Cal Brunker told Animation Scoop that he aimed to create a family-friendly movie with action and an emotional storyline that would hit home with the audience.
“We wanted to make a big, fun movie that everyone had to go see on the big screen,” he said.
Executive Producer Bob Barlen added, “We really want to make something that is for the whole family, from the youngest member of the family all the way through to the older brothers and sisters and people who might even have come along to support the younger sibling during maybe their first time at the movies.”
The PAW PATROL pups are slated to appear in a third movie in 2026.

As the second PAW PATROL movie hits theaters, Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures reveal that a third installment is slated for a 2026 release.

The original PAW PATROL movie was released in the summer of 2021 to a surprise performance, bringing in $144 million worldwide despite a struggling box office and a simultaneous release on Paramount+.
