After a 10-year hiatus, PHINEAS AND FERB will return this summer for their fifth season on the Disney Channel.
The hit animated series follows the summer adventures of stepbrothers Phineas and Ferb, family pet/secret agent Perry the Platypus and older sister Candace who is always trying to get them “busted” for their high jinks. It will premiere the first two episodes on the Disney Channel and Disney XD June 5, with the first 10 episodes available on Disney+ the next day.
“In the new season, Phineas, Ferb and the crew tackle another 104 days of summer and are set for exciting new adventures featuring some unforgettable milestones,” a press release said. “The boys will break several world records, Candace will take her driver’s license test, and Perry will finally make a trip to the vet!”
“Since PHINEAS AND FERB is essentially a celebration of summer vacation, summer is the perfect time to debut the new season,” co-creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh said in a joint statement. “We have had such a great time diving back into this world and the entire cast and crew have really brought their A-game. We cannot wait to see fans’ reactions to what is shaping up to be our favorite season yet.”
Vincent Martella and David Errigo Jr. will return as the voices of Phineas and Ferb, respectively, along with Ashley Tisdale as Candace Flynn, Caroline Rhea as Linda Flynn-Fletcher, Dee Bradley Baker as Perry the Platypus and Alyson Stoner as Isabella Garcia-Shapiro.
“There are stories that we’ve been wanting to tell for a long time that’s, that we never got around to,” Povenmire said at the New York Comic Con. “There are things that we were like, ‘Hey, we’ve never done this kind of an episode’ that we had tried to do a couple of times and we finally figured out a way to do it that worked within our universe.”
Povenmire also voices the bumbling evil-scientist-turned-good Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. Marsh, voice of Major Monogram, one of the leaders of the O.W.C.A. (Organization Without a Cool Acronym) shared his excitement about the upcoming season.
“One of the most fun things about doing more of these is we have the freedom now to go to explore characters more fully that we didn’t get to the first time,” Marsh explained.

The five- time Emmy winning show reigns as Disney’s most successful animated TV show for Kids 6-11 and tweens 9 to 14. The series spawned the movie PHINEAS AND FERB: ACROSS THE SECOND DIMENSION in 2011 and PHINEAS AND FERB: CANDACE AGAINST THE UNIVERSE in 2020.
Both Tisdale and Stoner agreed that their roles on PHINEAS have been their “favorite job,” Stoner clarifying, “And I’m not just saying that ’cause I wanna stay hired.”
