Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Other Talent Confirmed for John Krasinski’s Upcoming Movie

By Movieguide® Staff

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Fiona Shaw are set to star alongside John Krasinski and Ryan Reynolds in Krasinksi’s upcoming fantasy comedy movie.

THR reported:

Krasinski is writing and directing the high-profile title in addition to starring opposite Ryan Reynolds, as previously announced. The pic is set to open Nov. 17, 2023, the beginning of the lucrative Thanksgiving corridor, and will begin shooting in summer 2022.

Plot details are being kept under tight wraps, but the story is based on an original idea of Krasinski’s about a child’s journey to rediscover their imagination.

Waller-Bridge, who starred in SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY and recently released NO TIME TO DIE, is also to star in the upcoming INDIANA JONES movie.

Krasinski is also writing and directing the untitled project for Paramount, with Reynold’s production banner, Maximum Effort, producing.

Recently, Krasinski has proven to make pro-family movies with biblical values, such as his sci-fi movies, A QUIET PLACE, and A QUIET PLACE PART II.

Movieguide® previously reported:

Movieguide® commended the first A QUIET PLACE. Krasinski and Blunt were nominated at the Movieguide® Awards for the Grace Prize® for their performances in the movie.

A portion of our review reads:

A QUIET PLACE keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. John Krasinski provides great direction, from his brilliant use of style to the cast’s winning performances. The simple story seamlessly transitions between thrills and emotional moments. Everything’s grounded in the positive relationships among the Abbott family. Themes of love and protection provide a refreshing, healthy depiction of family bonds. The suspense isn’t for the faint of heart. Even so, A QUIET PLACE is a strong allegory for parenting and “training a child in the way they should go.”

During the pandemic, it was the movies that upheld family-friendly values that performed best.
