Two-time NBA Champion Lamar Odom gave his life to Jesus on Sunday October 27, 2019.
“Nowadays I’m doing the best I can in walking with the Lord,” the former Los Angeles Clippers and Lakers player said.
Odom’s girlfriend, Sabrina Parr, was by his side. The two will star in their own reality show in the near future.
On THE REAL, Odom and Parr spoke about how this relationship is different than other relationships in the past.
“[I’m] intermingling my family,” Odom said. He added, “And [we’re] praying together.”
Parr stated, “I don’t date with intentions of not getting married.”
With their relationship in the public eye, Parr went on to say she told Odom, “We’re really going to be serious about this.”
The last time Odom made headlines, he was found passed out in a brothel.
In 2015, Odom was hospitalized for a drug overdose. He experienced 12 strokes and six heart attacks.
Doctors called him a walking miracle.
“It’s really a story of triumph,” Odom said on ABC news.
Non-sports fans may recognize Odom from his previous marriage to Khloe Kardashian. Odom appeared on many of Kardashian’s reality shows, including KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS and LAMAR AND KHLOE.
Kardashian’s brother-in-law Kanye West also recently accepted Christ and shared his testimony and publicly shared his faith.
Most recently, Odom was a contestant on DANCING WITH THE STARS (DWTS).
Odom competed with DWTS professional, Peta Murgatroyd, who was in the 2018 faith-based movie FAITH, HOPE & LOVE.
When we fall to the bottom of the hole that we’ve spent our lives digging, we will find that God was there waiting for us long before we showed up. And in one hand He’s holding all of the shovels that we used to dig it, and in the other He’s got a ladder. Pick wisely ✊🏿❤️ pic.twitter.com/XlVhSPfPH3
