Pray.com continues to bring the newest technology to the Bible as it launches a RUTH mini series with visuals that are fully generated by AI.
“We are honored to bring Ruth’s story to life – a timeless saga meeting cutting-edge technology to reach new audiences with such important lessons about loss and loyalty,” Max Bard, Pray.com’s vice president of content, said in a statement. “We first started experimenting with visual AI storytelling in our podcast trailers, and as our understanding deepened, it became clear that we could take it further — telling a complete Bible story entirely through AI. We’re incredibly proud of the result and excited to share more series like this in the future.”
The four-episode mini series about Ruth is part of the company’s Heroes of the Faith programming where they highlight significant people in the Bible. The mini series will be the first entry in the series to highlight a woman and will also feature Savannah Chrisley who will introduce each episode and provide thoughtful commentary. The mini series is now available on Pray.com.
This isn’t the only way Pray.com is employing AI to bring the Gospel to a larger audience. Last year, the company partnered with Palantir, a leader in AI, to speed up its translation work and broaden its scope. The partnership has allowed Pray.com to translate more of its library into more languages in a fraction of the time.
“Palantir has enables Pray.com to accelerate its roadmap while also giving our engineers new capabilities, building enterprise-ready AI systems at scale in half the time,” said Pray.com co-founder and CTO Ryan Beck. “Ministries and nonprofits now have access to a fully managed and highly accurate service that can translate content in their voice at a fraction of the cost. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results.”
“Prayer existed 10,000 years ago, and prayer will exist 10,000 years from now,” added co-founder and CEO Steve Gatena. “Thanks to Palantir, Pray.com can protect and defend religious liberty on a global scale. By leveraging Palantir’s AIP, Pray.com is reforming workflows for Christian leaders in the 21st century, allowing us to make prayer a priority for billions of people in dozens of languages at the click of a button.”

Translation is one of the most exciting prospects about the future of AI, which could allow the Bible to be translated into languages that seemed nearly impossible to reach only a few years ago.
“People don’t realize that there are 7,100 languages,” said Ulf Hermjakob, a researcher leading an AI translation team. “Google translate covers about 100 of them. Our focus for this Bible translation is on very low-resource languages that don’t even fall within the top 500.”
