Pussycat Doll Kaya Jones on ‘Damaging’ Abortions: ‘You Will Regret It Your Whole Life’

Editor’s note: This article contains some disturbing information about Jones’ experiences and abortion. Please use discernment when reading.

Kaya Jones, former member of girl group The Pussycat Dolls, recently opened up about her past abortions and her regrets surrounding those decisions.

The former girl band star now wants to impress upon young women how “damaging” abortions are.

“You will regret it your whole life,” she said. “Even if I become a mother tomorrow and am happily married and all is well, I’m still going to regret the three children I did not have.”

Jones explained that she has gotten three abortions over the years, the first of which was when she was just 16 years old.

“After the first one, you don’t think you’ve done anything wrong,” she shared. “Once you’ve crossed that line, it’s a very slippery slope to continue to cross those lines.

“I didn’t feel that that was murder, if you will,” Jones continued. “I didn’t have any understanding of it. I didn’t speak to my family about it. I didn’t speak to anyone about it. I went and got it done, and I didn’t need anyone’s consent.”

The singer got her second abortion when she was a member of The Pussycat Dolls and was “told to get rid” of her unborn child.

When Jones was 30 years old, she was raped, which ended in pregnancy.

While she “wanted to keep the baby,” stress and other complications led to her deciding to undergo a third abortion.

“From that last day of that whole synopsis of this train of trauma, I became very, very adamant about speaking about pro-life,” Jones shared. “Each one I’ve had to pray about, each one I’ve had to talk to God about, it has been a very private journey in getting my well-being mentally, emotionally, spiritually intact.”

Jones continued, “It is very painful; there is a lot of anger, there is a lot of frustration, there’s a lot of lack of knowledge, there’s a lot of regret. Nothing can make that go away other than God Himself when you lay it at His feet and ask for salvation on these issues.”

Movieguide® previously reported on Jones’ strong Christian faith:

Singer and former member of the Pussycat Dolls band Kaya Jones shared how she went from serving herself to serving God.

Jones recently shared pictures from her baptism at City of Destiny Church in Apopka, Florida, on May 23.

“I’ve sung with Jagger, Britney, Fergie, Katy Perry & many others. Nothing & no one compares to singing with Jesus!” Jones wrote on social media.

“I first saw Paula White-Cain when I was 16 & signed to Capitol Records while her ministry was on BET. It sowed a seed,” she added of the church’s pastor. “A year later I joined the Pussycat Dolls & was not serving God but rather myself. I knew I wasn’t following God’s plan for me. Much damage & pain has come.”

However, Jones said that she finally dedicated her life to Christ.

“I’m finally now serving the Lord. It was a dream come true to be baptized by this woman who brought me to Christ through the TV. God writes the most incredible outcomes,” Jones said. “You are loved. Never too late to give your life to Him. Thank you for saving me! You take what the enemy meant for evil & you turn it for good!”
