JC Shirer Jr., son of beloved Christian actress Priscilla Shirer, just made his first-ever NCAA March Madness debut, a dream come true for the Liberty University athlete.

The Liberty Flames faced the Oregon Ducks in Seattle last Friday during the tournament’s first round. With a minute left in the game, referee Roger Ayers noticed Shirer run to the scores table to sub in, the last of the Flames who hadn’t played.

Ayers knew he needed to get Shirer in the game in some way, so ref pretended to wipe a wet spot on the court, pausing the game and giving Shirer a chance to sub in. The Flames came up short, but Shirer was grateful for the opportunity to step in.

“That’s me 😂😂 Mr Ref is the goat fr,” Shirer commented on the video.” Jesus Christ is the way to life just in case yall wondering ❤️”

Just like his mom, JC Shirer uses his platform to bring glory to God and tell others about the the gospel.

“Comparison is the thief of joy, don’t let it rob you of one of God’s many gifts,” he wrote in a Threads post.

In another post, he said, “Psalm 37:4 is a life cheat cod!! When my desires and wants become what God desires for me, I can act intensely and with freedom on everything that I want!”

He and Priscilla just teamed up to launch a new podcast together.

“Very excited to announce our new podcast ‘Full Fledged: The Homey Podcast.’ A lot of jokes, laughter, and brutally honest family conversations in our onesies 😂,” JC revealed.
